2023 - Present: Senior Engineering Manager overseeing Integrations and the newly formed Extend team, which was created to drive new revenue for HackerRank. I created, hired, and grew Extend which was a true 0 -> 1 effort. Extend is made up of 4 engineers and uses JavaScript, NodeJS, GraphQL, Webhooks, AWS Lambdas, API Gateways, and AWS Kinesis to make HackerRanks APIs more extensible and ultimately will make HackerRanks APIs a revenue-driving product by way of creating must-have functionality via these endpoints. The Integrations team is made up of 1 EM (direct report), and 8 engineers. These individuals integrate HackerRank in dozens of applicant tracking systems to ensure that our customers have a seamless experience using HackerRank. The Integrations team is also responsible for many of HackerRanks APIs, authentication (SSO, SAML, OAuth), and works closely with customers to create new features which increase revenue.In Q1 2023 I Introduced Webhooks to HackerRank and built common queries to reduce the number of API calls customers made by 2-3x to gather necessary information for enterprise systems, architected and executed revenue driving project for new HackerRank products which is on track to increase revenue by a sizable percentage, and orchestrated cross-functional teams from 5 departments across 6 time zones to deliver a full-stack bi-directional sync ATS user experience.In Q2 2023 I started a company wide initiative to increase our service reliability and decrease our on-call effort. I also conducted hiring operations giving hundreds of interviews for PMs and Senior Engineers. My team and I introduced an API gateway and integrated OAuth 2.0 into our public facing APIs. Mid Q2 I worked with our ML team to kick off a new ML product that will help accelerate our Integration Support.

2022- Jan 2023: Engineering Manager for the Integrations and Company Admin teams(14 direct reports) with my teams primarily using React, NodeJS, and Ruby on Rails.Integrations: The integrations team helps HackerRank integrate with Applicant Tracking Systems(e.g, Workday, Lever, Greenhouse, etc...) so that our customers can stay within their ATS' and still experience all the benefits of using HackerRank's interview product. The Integrations team supports 10's millions of interviews on an annual basis.Company Admin: The Company Admin team is responsible HackerRank's licensing, team/role management, test/interview sharing, HackerRank.com settings, and other admin-related features. The Company Admin team is our "jack of all trades".Implemented several on-call, leadership, and efficiency initiatives that have been adopted company-wide and positively impacted 400+ employees. Outside of engineering, I built a pulse survey for my teams and have used the results to improve my team's continuity, project awareness, and belonging. This pulse survey is now being adopted to be a company-wide standard. Spearheaded many internal initiatives related to improving team onboarding and project documentation. These initiatives have led to new team members being up to speed roughly one week earlier than before. To increase the stability of HackerRanks Integrations, I kicked off an initiative to create a monitoring and alerting platform for HackerRank, which was delivered within 1 quarter.

Primary responsibilities include hiring engineers, solving technical problems, guiding the technology direction at MS Technologies, and working with customers. MS Technologies is a custom website and mobile application development company that partners with businesses and individuals to solve technology problems for our partners. Our primary customer base is medium to large businesses and entertainers/large social media influencers.Project highlights:- Led the development of monstermax.com(and 2 more subsequent sites) for a very large client that enabled the customer to earn nearly $1M in revenue over a period of 8 days and we handled over 200k concurrent customers without any production issues.- Led development of a mobile application for Wavy Mobile Detailing. Using React Native, Styled Components, NodeJS, Firestore, and Stripe we created a iOS and Android application that enabled customers of Wavy Mobile Detailing to schedule car details, track their detailer, communicate, and pay via our application. This greatly improved the customer experience and allowed for Wavy to have a hands-off way to book clients, guarantee payment, and improve the business accounting.

(November 2018 - February 2020) Lead Frontend Engineer on the product MAPLE(marketing allocation planning engine) and a member of the AdTech team. MAPLE is a Full Stack product that optimizes marketing spend by utilizing ML models and conveys that information through a feature-rich frontend that utilizes dynamic graphs and inputs to support different MMM models and global regions/products. MAPLE uses React, Styled Components, and Node JS on the frontend and Go/Python on the backend.(December 2019 - October 2021) Lead Frontend Engineer for multiple new AdTech initiatives using React, Styled Components, Node JS, Go, Java, Python, and external ad networks such as AdWords, FB, and more. (February 2020 - October 2021) Lead engineer on the Advertising Automated Bidder initiative creating a full-stack Machine Learning application to handle the ads workflow and optimize the spend using Python, React, SQL, and Kafka. Processing $MM ad spend on a monthly basis and improving global ROAS by a significant %.(October 2021 - March 2022) Lead engineer on an internal full-stack React project that powers all the pages on uber.com(10,000+). Using React, Styled Components, DevOps skills, and Node.js I am leading a project which allows internal users to instantly create new Uber.com pages, edit content, create content, change the language of a page, make pages live/disable pages either sitewide or on a country-specific basis. We have a focus on modularity, SEO, usability, and customer satisfaction. Introduced development standards for JavaScript, React, and Node that were adopted by hundreds of engineers and has increased developer productivity with remote teams operating on nearly every continent. Ran brownbags sessions at Uber to share engineering knowledge between teams and team members to increase cross-team knowledge and engineering skills. Participates in oncall efforts and sets aside time to work with junior engineers to increase their personal and professional growth.

Lead engineer on an effort to bring Micro Frontends and reusable common component libraries to the over 11,000 employees and millions of customers.Lead engineer/Tech Lead on a project to completely revamp the Agent dashboard experience to empower our users with analytical data related to their business performance and allow them to be more efficient. This system is built using React, Styled Components, Node JS, and Java. Remote Tech Lead of over 10 Software Engineers and 4 QA Engineers. Assisting the team in architecture/system design, sprint planning, task/ticket assignment, removing blockers, mentoring engineers, increasing team efficiency, and working with PM's/Business to identify new work and curate it for the team.2019-2022: Launched new Agent Dashboard and successfully retired our older out-of-date external customer-facing UI and as a result of the new site creation increased customer satisfaction by 30% and increased company revenue by 4%. The new Agent site brought together features where our customers previously had to visit 3 different sites, they can accomplish all of their tasks on one URL with a modern UI built in React, Styled Components, Node.js, Server Side Rendering, and Golang. By 2022 all users were migrated to the new dashboard and the old system was successfully retired.2019 - Worked with business and engineering leadership to understand the issues with our current system and turned those problems into technical milestones. With those milestones I was able to work backward and set timelines for the development of our new site, connect with engineering managers in teams across the company, coordinate resource management, and write ERD's(engineering requirement documents) for new systems/modifications to existing services. Proper system design and architectural understanding of the existing entities across the entire business were crucial to the success of our project.

Some notable contributions include 3D showcase, Buy The Room, Walmart's lifestyle blogs, and interactive shopping modules.

Lead Engineer on a Enterprise Management consumption/creation system built in React, Node, MongoDB, SQL, and Kafka. Allowed Enterprise users to wildcard search over 500 million documents and see results within milliseconds. The project was split into two pieces, a RESTful service to create/get inventories and a performance oriented UI that could handle large datasets. The application is being accessed more than 1.5 million times a day by various Enterprise user's and applications. Authored Node.js middleware which handled DB connection, JWT authentication, and contained over 50 commonly used company methods. Co authored React NPM components which contained company styled components such as Inputs, Drop Downs, Boards, Headers, Tables, Tabs, Modals, etc... This library allowed users to simply plug in our components and be in compliance with the companies style guide.

MCS Custom PC's created build to order desktop PC's. Custom customer landing pages were created using HTML/CSS and jQuery. MCS' customer facing website was built in ReactJS, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and CSS3. I designed the website architecture to be easily scalable and robust. I also built highly reusable ReactJS components to eliminate code duplication, improve performance, and code readability.
