As a Senior Contracts Manager, I am responsible for drafting, reviewing & negotiating all non-standard & standard contracts / templates and legal documents, including but not limited to, Service Level Agreements, NDA's, Software Licence Agreements, Sub-Contractor Agreements, Agency Agreements, Supplier Agreements, Exclusivity Contracts, Distribution Agreements & Construction Agreements, such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC Terms etc. Brief details of my day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include: - Provide legal and commercial advice to multiple UK & Irish business units, senior management & board members on all general legal matters. Develop deal negotiations, strategies to mitigate commercial risk, & lead / manage execution via negotiation with customers & across internal functions, to ensure profitable outcomes against business targets.  Ensure commercial governance, internal approvals & compliance with company procedures, to mitigate against business risk.  Design & drive improvement programmes to address identified gaps.  Engage with suppliers & customers throughout contract development and in-life management.  Provide continuous project monitoring input, analysis and updates on ongoing projects, from pre bid through to completion.  Provide and maintain legal contracts training and awareness courses to existing and new employees.  Liaise with & manage insurance brokers / providers on insurance matters. Provide specialist pragmatic legal solutions and advice on bespoke time sensitive scenarios, such as letters of intent or last-minute tenders. Vetting & auditing of internal company processes.  Review & ensure compliance with internal onboarding requirements for external Supplier’s & Sub-Contractors.

APH are a growing property company involved with construction design & build, joint ventures, property land & development, for both the private & public sectors. APH specialise in the construction of social housing & luxury homes. Details of my day to day tasks and responsibilities included:- Prepare, research & collate information for tender bids.Ensuring contracts remain within budget.Assist the buying department with research on companies and sub contractors.Review and provide advice on different types of contract agreements. Examples of which include JCT Contracts, Option Agreements, Insurance Contracts, Indemnity Insurance Proposals, Performance Bonds. Liaise with external professionals appointed by the company including, Architects, Structural Engineers.Liaise with the Health & Safety representative to provide legal assistance & guidance.Ensure accurate & timely applications for bid projects are completed & submitted.Provide assistance to the construction director with day to day site issues.Provide assistant to the Directors on business development & continuity.Ensure the company's legal obligations are met & kept up to date at all times.
