Through a combination of organic growth in existing Mining equipment businesses, and strategic acquisitions, led NEPEAN to become one of the largest specialist manufacturer of Mining Conveyor Equipment globally.Created an additional platform for NEPEAN, Building & infrastructure, to diversity its operations. Led the acquisition of the Ronald E Graham Group, integrating it into NEPEAN as “NEPEAN Building & Infrastructure”.

Identified and lead the acquisition, onboard and business turn-around of Sandvik’s global Conveyor Components & Conveyor Systems business. Operations include, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Brazil, Chile, USA, Canada. Employing 350 additional people. Improved operating performance via focused and motivated employees, nonbureaucratic culture with highly supportive customers. Reinstated the well-known and respected brands PROK, GURTEC, ROXON, provided empowerment, and structure and strategy to win, visited each site bimonthly for the first 12 months.

I founded a new business start-up, Vehicle Inspection Systems, to fill a niche in the transport industry.ACHIEVEMENTSCreated a new line of products: VIS-Polish, a wheel polishing system for aluminium truck wheels; and, VIS-Check, a mobile brake testing unit for heavy vehicles.Developed go to market strategy, launched into USA.Developed the concept from customer feedback, then built a team to invent the now Patented Robotic Rim polishing system. This product has been the global leader in technology since 2003.Built sales, customer service, manufacturing, product development, and finance functions.Annual sales over AU$15M with EBIT 20%.Promoted to global CEO of NEPEAN due to performance of new business venture.
