Driving Venture Capital Investment in Europe for Qualcomm. Expanding Qualcomm's investments in Western European and driving new investments in Eastern Europe. Business Development for Qualcomm Corporate Research and Development in Europe.

Responsible for Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa region. Developing and helping the regions execute on strategies to drive 2G to 3G & 4G adoption and increase silicon market share for Qualcomm.

Reporting to the CTO, founded, staffed and ran group chartered with developing new business areas for Qualcomm with potential revenues of $1B+/yr. In addition the group also developed strategic direction for Qualcomm future technologies and development areas.Developed the Innovation Engine process that resulted in 8 highly successful new programs including; Qualcomm's Augmented Reality Program (Vuforia), Contextual Awareness, Processors based on the Mammalian Nervous System (Zeroth), Indoor Position Location (iZat) and Qualcomm's Wireless Charging program (Halo & WiPower).Led the business development and marketing for all non-air interface R&D project with a team of 10. Developed key partnerships and commercialization strategies and agreements for new projects within CR&D.Formed and lead a User Experience group within Qualcomm R&D.

Built Product Management Discipline and Team within QMT the display division formed by the aquisition of Iridigm the company I had invested in while in the Venture Group.Developed Product Strategy and Definition of Product Roadmap. Co-lead the Marketing function.

Responsible for venture investments from the QUALCOMM $500 million Venture Fund. These invesments are in start up companies with technologies and business models that can help drive QUALCOMM's businesses.The role includes identifying investment opportunities, working through the due diligence process to investment and then working closely with the portfolio companies to drive strategic and financial returns. This includes taking a board observer role in the portfolio companies.

Responsible for managing Qualcomm's investment in Arieso that was acquired by JDSU in March 2013. Provided guidance at the board level.

Made original investment in A123 and board observer at the company. A123 went on to an IPO and peak valuation of $2B.

Lead Qualcomm's investment in Iridigm and then part of the team that lead the acquisition of the company. Post acquisition lead the product management group within the group.

Senior Product Manger for a QUALCOMM Handset, All Handset Accessories and Wireless Local Loop products during this period.

In a number of roles including Product Manger, R&D Engineer, Sales Engineer. Developed new product offerings and ran existing business lines.
