My vocation as a mentor is to empower people on this journey helping them acquire the skills, tools and practices to thrive in this new world, to navigate their organisations well and make constructive change happen for themselves and others. MENTORING - I have distilled a lifetime of business and volunteering experience into a clear mentoring framework that encourages, inspires and motivates people to grow and develop into their best selves and take positive action. Since the late 1980s my work as a mentor and coach has connected me to thousands of people at all levels of organisations and society all over the world. I understand how people at the top, bottom and middle think and feel. I believe in their fundamental resilience, resourcefulness and ability to solve their own problems. And based on years of experience building businesses and decades of leadership consulting with SMEs and multinationals I know how organisations work. MY MENTORING APPROACH - Everything I have over the last forty years is available to my clients and driven by their needs and interests. My approach is holistic, relational and values-led. If needed I can offer financial acumen, practical business experience and a personal understanding of what it takes to lead an organisation. I have deep knowledge of financial services, banking, securities markets, oil and gas, construction, mining, process industries and professional services. I've worked in on-going operations, capital projects, startups and shutdowns, each of which requires a different set of skills and experience. PIONEER - I have always been a pioneer over the past four decades whether as an investment banker helping Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Czechia and other developing countries access international capital markets, running a consultancy transforming safety in large mega-projects, or as a volunteer introducing couples to marriage education or teaching men how to listen. I love taking on new challenges.
