•Provide critical support to administer Dover’s employee health and wellness benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs and stop loss. •Provide oversight for health, welfare and wellness pricing, financial reporting, statistical/clinical reporting and trend management. Monitor program costs and trends and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate cost and trend impacts. Oversee, review and recommend premium rates, stop loss levels, IBNR and reserve changes.•Monitor and evaluate legislative trends and make appropriate recommendations to ensure risk and cost mitigation. • Responsible for the design, implementation, communication and administration of the McDonald’s Corporate Medical (PPO and HMO), Dental (PPO and HMO), Vision Supplement, and Spending Account plans and the Employee Assistance Program. • Lead many cross functional teams ensuring all team members understand their role, responsibilities and deadlines. Effectively facilitate team meetings providing team members the opportunity to discuss and proactively resolve issues. Team examples include: Annual enrollment, dependent audit, Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, tobacco use and spousal surcharge analysis, Comparative Effectiveness Fee and Transitional Reinsurance Fee implementation, Exchange notice and application, Summary of Benefits and Coverage, reporting Health care cost on W2s, elimination of Retiree Medical plan and transition to OneExchange. • Negotiate and contract with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and consultants ensuring an outstanding project design at a fair price.• Manage and build outstanding relationships with health plan vendors including BCBSIL, CVS/Caremark, ComPsych, PayFlex, EyeMed and Towers Watson. Build and maintain an outstanding working relationship with each vendor. Ensure each vendor is aligned with the McDonald’s business strategies, goals and objectives as well as in compliance with all legislation.• Establish performance expectations with vendors to ensure that all vendors work cooperatively to help McDonald’s achieve its goals. • Manage the Medical and Dental PPO Plan renewal and premium setting process incorporating plan design changes, upcoming projects and new ACA requirements into the premium budget.• Manage the McDonald’s retiree medical plan renewal and premium setting process ensuring the plan is affordable and valued by retirees.• Develop and deliver presentations to management proposing recommendations to enhance current plan design features.

•Insurance Accounting: primarily responsible for Workers Compensation and Package projection of losses and fees, monitor reserve balances, communication with Insurance & Safety, actuary, US Controller Group and field insurance representatives. Health & Welfare Insurance annual and monthly expense projection, communication with US Controller Group, preparation of complex analysis and participation on teams as appropriate. •Payroll Tax filing and reporting: supervise the timely and accurate payment of payroll taxes. Ensure accurate and timely accrual and reporting of relocation, company car, bank reconciliations, Board of Director’s deferred compensation, sabbatical accrual and stock options.•Department Support: participate on projects designed to address an issue or find efficiencies within the department as identified or assigned.•Cross Functional Department Support: support of non-accounting departments and participation in cross functional teams as assigned.
