I was privileged to lead the Royal Automobile Club, one of the foremost private members’ clubs in UK with 17,000 members, 600 staff and a turnover of c. £50m for nearly eight years. Imbued with an ethos forged out of being the oldest motoring organisation in the UK, the Royal Automobile Club is equipped with superb restaurants, bedrooms, sports and leisure facilities - and conducts a remarkable range of high quality activities and events from two beautiful and well-established clubhouses. The clubhouses are an elegant Grade 2* Listed Edwardian “Town clubhouse” in Pall Mall, equipped with three outstanding restaurants, 128 rooms and indoor sports facilities, and a substantial Grade 2 Listed “Country Club”, with 350 acres of prime sports estate with two challenging golf courses, extensive outdoor sports and family facilities, set in the Downlands of Woodcote Park, Epsom. The Club has completed an ambitious development programme over the last 10 years which included refurbishment of all major public rooms in both clubhouses and the construction of Family Facilities in a Listed Walled Garden at Woodcote Park, completing its transformation to a truly family-friendly destination, equipped with facilities for all generations.The Club has ridden through the challenge of Covid-19 and emerged strongly with good future prospects, its reputation enhanced and a healthy and happy membership.

Providing media, liaison, mentoring and crew support for the Toe in the Water's season's main events: Round the Island Race, Cowes Week and The Fastnet Race. Also provided project oversight to Team Endeavour's entry into the Fastnet Race.Toe in the Water is a tri-service initiative which uses competitive sailing to re-inspire injured service personnel to see beyond their injuries and perform to their limits regardless of their physical condition.
