If you want to join a team of geeks to do cool AI tech, please send your CV to: hr@fano.aiFounded in 2015, Fano Labs is a spin-off from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and specializes in AI technologies that enable machines to understand non-mainstream languages, such as Cantonese, Singlish, Thai, and Bahasa etc. We use our technologies to help enterprises in the financial service industries and the public sector discover insights from their call centers so as to improve sales, reduce customer churn, and reduce regulatory risks. We have been proudly serving numerous enterprises in the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia and our client base is growing fast. As of 2021, we have supported some of the most accurate speech recognition engines for Cantonese, Mandarin, English (Indian), English (Singapore), English (Philippines), Thai, and Arabic (Saudi Arabia). Fano Labs is backed by HKU, the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park, Mr. Antony Leung, former Financial Secretary of HKSAR, Alibaba, and Horizons Ventures, the private investment arm of Mr. Li Ka-shing. As of late 2020, Fano Labs has attracted over HKD 100M in venture funding.I know something about power systems, mathematics, machine learning, optimization, and natural language processing. I am also a pretty good full-stack developer & architect, with the right skill sets to work on hardcore backends using Python, Java, C++, MySQL, MongoDB, ShellScript etc. together with some good experiences cranking out frontends using Javascript, CSS, HTML, Django (Python), Rails (Ruby) etc.
