As the administrative assistant, I provide operational support and work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Marketing & Social Media Associate, Administrator, and Project Fellow ensuring that MANY operates professionally, efficiently, and proactively. Primary duties include phone and email communications, meeting and travel scheduling, program registration and management, and other tasks to keep our office environment running smoothly.

Developed and improved communication skills and sensitivity to other cultures by being a part of Summit Music Festival, an International Event (70% of participants are from Asia. Europe, Middle East, etc.). Greeted and helped the arrivals as they checked in.● Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for student applications, video auditions, and email distribution lists, and other correspondence/information.● Review all student lists and concert programs prepared by others to check for correct spelling (especially student names) and grammar, ensure that company format policies are followed, and recommend revisions.● Compose, type, and distribute student acceptance letters, response emails, general announcements (either email and/or posters)● Managed several projects as part of a team which would include the Executive Director, Business Director, Dorm Supervisor and volunteers. This included student registrations and check ins, check outs, chamber group assignments, orchestra assignments, and receptions.● Provided services to customers (students, parents, teachers, and audience members), such as - processing the student's program selections- collect tuition, room and board and other fees- sold concert tickets in advance and at the door- assisted faculty with searching, printing, and collating musical scores- other tasks as needed● Supervised & Trained part-time on site staff and students in the work study program. This included orientation of theFestival and the campus, how to put registration packets together, and using various software applications for Festivalactivities● Answered the phone, used proper etiquette when speaking and recorded voicemail messages when necessary
