My contributions included developing core procedures, designing a Power BI strategy for 80,000 users, creating a custom framework for automated performance testing, analyzing business requirements, and implementing master data management for centralized data sets.

At Macquarie, I contributed to two significant projects. One involved improving the DW/BI solution's performance to meet regulatory obligations and avoid penalties caused by complex daily reports. I provided expertise in database and ETL performance optimizations, along with training the offshore development team on industry standards. In another project, I acted as lead architect for a green-field DW/BI Data Mart initiative. This enabled the analytics team to effectively analyze employee performance and establish a robust reward scheme. As lead architect, I provided expertise in BI architecture, modelling techniques, and development. I delivered high-level and detailed solution designs and conducted knowledge transfer sessions for the offshore development team to ensure adherence to defined standards and patterns.

As part of the large multimedia company's collaboration with Quantium, my role involved spearheading the creation of a new DW/BI solution to cater to their expanding business requirements in the realm of advertisements. Key responsibilities in this project included providing expertise in BI architecture, modelling techniques, and development. I was instrumental in delivering both high-level and detailed solution designs to effectively handle data modelling, ingestion, transformation, and presentation processes.

Sydney Water engaged Hilmax Solutions to develop a comprehensive BI solution for efficient reporting, water shortage prediction, budget planning, and system maintenance analysis. In this project, my role involved providing expertise in BI data architecture, delivering high-level solution design, and analyzing existing processes for areas of improvement.

In this role, I was responsible for the design and implementation of data flows using SSIS, as well as developing and fine-tuning the ETL process, resulting in a significant improvement of up to 5 times faster data loading. Additionally, I created ETL dashboards and implemented quality controls to ensure data accuracy.I also designed custom software solutions for dynamic table and cube partitioning using a sliding window approach, enabling increased flexibility and customization. Moreover, I collaborated closely with the client's DBA and infrastructure teams to optimize and configure the BI platform, achieving enhanced performance levels.

I took the initiative to design and implement the first proof-of-concept Microsoft DW/BI solution within the company. This solution aimed to replace the existing OLTP-based reporting systems. I played a key role in gathering business requirements and translating them into data models and procedures. This involved analyzing and understanding the needs of various stakeholders and aligning them with the capabilities of the DW/BI solution. Additionally, I designed and implemented an LR(0) parser, enabling all development teams in the company to effectively handle custom user inputs. This parser proved invaluable in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of the overall development process.

I also researched and implemented SharePoint functionalities for an enterprise intranet solution. Additionally, I designed and developed a customized application for in-house asset tracking, which eliminated paperwork, improved asset fault history visibility, and streamlined asset management processes.
