To grow Renewable Performance Engineering to be the leader in wind turbine blade erosion repair and leading edge protection installations. Test wind turbine blade leading edge protection solutions to provide customers reliable life and value. Provide custom engineering solutions for wind turbines in the field, including blade repair, fire restorations, bat deterrence equipment installation, tower repairs and pitch bearing design/installation.

As a part of GE Renewable’s Technology and Innovation Team, I drove down the cost of energy by identifying and developing strategic technology roadmaps wind turbine machine head and rotor assemblies, including wind/wildlife interaction technologies. Working closely with the GE global team, I selected and explored promising new technologies and escort them through the technology development process. I played a key role in assessing potential technologies, guiding early-stage exploration, value assessment, joint technology partners, and extensive management of the testing and validation in formulation and execution for product implementation.

Managed multiple engineering programs with contract manufactures to engineer and commercialize Frontier Wind's active load management technologies for utility scale wind turbines. This program included conceptualization, design, prototyping, and verification of the system.Conducted supplier evaluations with multiple contract manufactures.Negotiated both engineering and manufacturing service agreements with contract manufactures.Developed and managed the target costing/value engineering process, using customer requirements to drive component cost.Managed multiple suppliers to meet deliverables and budget.IT operations manager for the company. Initiated and managed the migration from a data center model to a cloud hosted environment, reducing Frontier Wind’s annual IT operations costs over 25% with significant increase in disaster recovery readiness. Led the development of new patents by conducting annual patent disclosure meetings with the engineering team and patent attorneys.

Created and managed detailed hardware, electrical, and software requirements for the system to meet customer and IEC 61400 wind turbine design requirements.Worked with team members to communication and identify requirements.Continually analyzed requirements for system changes and cost drivers.Conducted trade studies to identify the best fit of technical solutions to the application.Managed reliability with the development of FMEAs, life prediction tools, life and verification testing. Developed pilot and commercial electrochemical systems that use an advanced oxidation process for food safety, water disinfection and environmental remediation. Utilized SolidWorks on a daily basis. Designed electrochemical cells and automated process control equipment. Quickly learned fundamental knowledge of electrochemical engineering and sanitary design. Provided work direction to technical staff, managed the lab, and project management.

Myron held the position of Mechanical Design Engineer over his career at MTS, starting from a Co-op Intern working his way up to the lead engineer on multiple projects. Myron worked on hydraulic power supplies, actuation systems, material testing systems, crash and road simulators, dark ride vehicles and 6DOF motion simulators for entertainment venues including Universal Studios and Disney theme parks. In addition, he worked on the development and installation team for the Lexus advanced driving simulator in Higashifuji, Japan. Myron made extensive use of mathematical modeling and simulation tools for stress, strain, vibration, and system performance analysis.

Designed high-pressure hydraulic power units and hydraulic distribution systems. Performed vibration analysis on structures (Modal Analysis). Utilized data acquisition on amusement rides to check performance requirements.
