I'm the Director of Operations at GDS Technologies, responsible for Sales & Marketing, Field Services, Finance & Administration, HR, and IT. GDS Technologies are a market-leading company based in the north of England specialising in the design, manufacture, installation, commission and on-going servicing of electronic gas monitoring alarm systems. Our diverse product range and ability to manufacture bespoke projects, means we offer solutions serving a broad range of sectors and markets; including education, car parking and the oil and gas industry. In addition, we operate in wide range of potentially hazardous environments.My background is in technology, having studied Computer Science at the University of Hull, and have held roles in Field Service Management, Account Management and Services Sales. I subsequently worked for many years at enterprise and boutique information technology management consultancies, delivering projects successfully across the globe. During this period, I developed a specialism in business case development, supporting decision making for CFO and CIOs related to strategic IT programmes. This culminated in a board-level role as Product Development Director for an innovative IT Financial Management (ITFM) software and consultancy service. Building on this experience, in 2017, I started my own technology, business and design consultancy, where I delivered numerous projects, primarily to small and medium-sized businesses.In my spare time, I have too many hobbies to list here, however I try to find a balance between spending time with family and friends, staying fit, and being creative.
