About Amy Miller

At APHL, I collaborate closely with other instructional designers to align organizational principles and educational goals. I thrive on managing projects and designing creative, learner-centered instructional materials. My role involves developing comprehensive training programs, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to engage diverse learners, and ensuring that educational content is both effective and accessible. I am passionate about creating innovative learning experiences that drive knowledge retention and skill development.Previously, at Stripe, I had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team of multi-talented individuals. Together, we produced various learning paths for our customer service teams and their users. I also traveled to India to help a new team ramp up with training my team had developed. Despite a short turnaround, we successfully produced quality training modules and an effective training agenda. My journey in instructional design began at Lamar University, where I learned the principles of the field. While teaching online English Composition as an adjunct, I also assisted other professors in using Blackboard through my full-time position in the Distance Education department. I created training materials in both manual form and online modules, and enjoyed interacting with professors both face-to-face and online. This experience honed my ability to analyze learners’ needs and assess learning outcomes. Later, I became a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer for Lamar courses.I also worked for Fluor, a construction management group, during their management of the Total DCP project in Port Arthur, Texas. This role took me back to my document management roots, allowing me to learn new software and train other employees as needed. I thrived in the high-demand environment, where fast results were essential. All of these experiences, both in education and the corporate world, have shaped my unique perspective. I love meeting new challenges as they emerge and helping users of all kinds adapt and succeed.

Listed skills include Instructional Design, Distance Learning, Training, Teaching, and 26 others.
