About Bert Miller

Grew up in Navasota Texas and graduated from Navasota High School, worked summers and part time at the Tubular Finishing Works (now Grant NOV), also TxDOT in Navasota then went on to college, and back to Navasota working at Trinity Industries for nine years as a Sales Engineer. After my grandfather's tragic tractor injury, my dad and I helped him get around but it soon became apparent he would not improve or be able to continue at the insurance agency, I joined the Wm. Albert Miller Agency in 1997 working with my father, Margie, Arlene & Doris. I have been there ever since and it has been a wonderful experience helping others protect their families. I also have volunteered in my community for many years, beginning with Key Club in high school, as a volunteer with the chamber of commerce, then the Grimes County Jaycees in 1989. After "aging out" in Jaycees, I decided to join the Navasota Kiwanis Club, partly to honor my grandfather, who had been a Kiwanian for many years and served as Lt. Governor. I ran for city council in 2005 and was elected then became mayor in 2006 and have served in that capacity to present day. In 2016, I started a business downtown, Classic Rock Coffee Co & Kitchen, that has become a destination. I love Navasota and do all I can to make it a better place every day.
