I lead a team of over 30 professionals focused on building a world class safety culture, best in class environmental and sustainability programs, and a comprehensive risk management program. I am also CEO and President of Neuse River Insurance Company, Advance Auto Part's captive insurance company.In the past 3 years we have reduced injuries over 40%. We have reduced GHG CO2 emissions over 25% and released several million dollars of P&C reserves.I also lead Advance Auto Part’s team members network (ERG) focused on LGBTQ+ team members, community, and customer outreach called Advance Pride & Allies. I have helped lead customer and community facing partnerships and we have achieved an HRC score of 90 for two years now. AAP has signed the HRC business coalition in support of the Equality Act.

Lead the Risk Management and Safety functions at Advance Auto Parts. Responsible for safety program architecture, deployment, and execution.Advance Auto Parts, Inc., the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, serves both the professional installer and do-it-yourself customers. Advance operates over 5,200 stores, over 100 Worldpac branches and serves approximately 1,300 independently owned Carquest branded stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. Advance employs approximately 74,000 Team Members.

Created Advance's captive insurance company. Oversee and lead the captive insurance company. First established to provided beneficial tax treatment and risk financing flexibility. Neuse River holds all of Advance Auto Parts casualty risk under high retentions/deductibles. In 2020 we also started providing voluntary benefits to employees at a lower cost.Primary achievements have been several million in tax savings and $1M annually in voluntary benefits revenue.

Overall responsibility for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) within Dean Foods at a corporate level. Oversee a functional team that supports EHS and Fleet Safety activities across all 3 major business segments: Fresh Dairy Direct, Morningstar Dairy, and WhiteWave-Alpro. After 8 months with the company, in June 2012, I assumed leadership responsibility for our fleet and distribution safety program.
