About Jason Miller
Being an engineer wasn't always my goal in life until Highschool came. I had the opportunity to work at a local OEM company. While there, I was able to interact and network with multiple types of professionals in a place of work. It was through this experience that I was able to learn more about mechanical engineering as well as production and manufacturing. I learned all about Inventory, R&D, Testing, Production, and Assembly. This sparked my interest in Engineering and inspired me to go forth and get a Mechanical Engineering degree. During my Co-Op experiences in college, I took a different path than most engineers. I went into food production facilities under the guise of either a Production Engineer, Project Engineer, or a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer. These roles really helped me to understand the breadth of what can be achieved with an engineering degree. I also learned about the production of food, which I argue is the backbone of society. I had the opportunity to work with numerous employees from all levels of the company. Those experiences broadened my understanding of how not only others work, but how I work best myself.
