I’ve spent more than a decade working at the intersection of business and social impact. As Head of Corporate Affairs and ESG for Western Union, I built and steward the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, including sustainability strategy and performance, ESG reporting and disclosures, and governance. I also play an integral role in advocacy and corporate positions on key societal topics, and through the management of the ESG Working Group, drive cross-functional collaboration on these issues across the company. In addition, I manage key stakeholder relationships that sit at the nexus of business and social purpose, and orchestrated Western Union’s participation in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos for seven years. I joined Western Union in 2012 as part of the Social Ventures team, which focused on driving shared value by leveraging Western Union’s unique global digital and retail assets for business and social impact. Prior to joining Western Union, I worked in India at the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, the corporate foundation of India’s largest private bank. I am passionate about issues surrounding migrants and refugees; I began my career at the Brookings Institution focused on the issue of forced displacement. I received an MSc from Oxford University and a BA from Amherst College. I live with my family in Denver, Colorado, where Western Union is headquartered.
