My role as the Senior State Program Manager in Accelerating the Control of the HIV Epidemic in Nigeria - Cluster 6 involved providing strategic direction and technical expertise to enhance access to treatment and prevention services for key and other priority populations in Edo State. This entailed developing annual operational strategies and budgets, overseeing HR planning, and engaging stakeholders at various levels to address programmatic needs. I supervised clinical teams, technical specialists, and staff, collaborating closely with HALG Leadership for the effective implementation of program objectives.Furthermore, my responsibilities included leveraging surveillance data for informed decision-making, scaling up evidence-based interventions, and integrating data systems to facilitate real-time monitoring and evaluation. Strengthening governance structures, fostering partnerships to maximize impact, and offering mentorship to sub-grantees and CBOs were pivotal for achieving sustainable outcomes. Implementing budgetary controls and management plans in alignment with donors’ guidelines and program goals was also crucial. Additionally, I spearheaded the start-up and successful closure of the USAID-funded COVID-19 Vaccination Project (GLOVAX), aiming to accelerate widespread and equitable access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination in selected LGAs in Edo state, supporting the NPHCDA's SCALES strategy.

Provided technical and programmatic leadership in the rollout, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of SHARP Task Order 2 Project, a USAID-funded project for comprehensive HIV Care and Treatment services in Edo State, Nigeria. Provided technical support to state partners, health facilities, implementing agencies, and consortium partners. Led a diverse team of over 120 technical staff, consultants, and ad-hoc personnel dedicated to supporting service delivery throughout the state. Directed strategic planning, implementation, and coordination of Prevention and Treatment Programs, HIV Testing Services (HTS), Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT), Early Infant Diagnosis (EID), Care and Support, and Community Components of HIV service delivery.
