My education in higher education spans nearly two decades. Before teaching online, on-ground and hybrid courses, I taught middle school and substitute-taught all levels of public education. My professional career began with the Buffalo Urban League, Inc. My role included but was not limited to job matching, advocating, and follow-up procedures to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly employment goals. This position allowed me to contribute beyond my responsibilities. As a result, I was promoted to vice president of program operations. In this compacity, I supervised program staff in education, housing, health and welfare, seniors and youth services, and small business development programs. I also interviewed and recommended hiring new employees. My additional contribution was to train new members of the BUL Board of Directors.
