I was an Audit Senior of various financial statements’ audits leading teams of between 4 to 6 Audit associates in performing high quality risk-based audits of entities in the Financial Services’ and Consumer Industrial Markets (CIM) sectors.Key Responsibilities: ● Project Management-This entailed management of assigned Audit engagements which include planning, budgeting, resource allocation, monitoring of expenditure and recoveries, team coaching and team performance appraisal.● Review of statutory accounts/financial statements for compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).● Risk assessment, management, and determination of a planned audit. ● Execution and completion of financial statements audits of large to medium-sized organizations in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). ● Execution and completion of Group Reporting including the preparation of consolidated financial statements.● Acted as the interface between the client, audit team, audit manager and partner.● Preparation of audit reports and documentation of audit scope, procedures, findings, and recommendations. ● Interpretation of the significance of audit findings, formulation of conclusions from the findings, and formulation of practical recommendations for remediation in the management letters.● Assessment of internal control environments and review of tax workings and compliance checks for audit clients. ● Review and formulation of the Financial Assets’ impairment models as per IFRS 9 requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:• Conducting both short-term and long-term financial reviews and analysis of business cases in line with the brand portfolio transformation strategy. • Conducting project/ investment appraisal and feasibility analysis. • Maintaining financial forecasts and conducting monthly tracking on actual performance against forecast. • Assisting in the development and implementation of systems and processes to ensure key controls are in place within the Finance function. • Preparation of high-quality monthly investment reports with insights to assist senior management monitor the progress and performance of various projects as well as decision making. • Supporting external audit processes to enable timely completion of the audit process including but not limited to, the review of the financial statements’ workings. • Ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately in the Netsuite ERP system. • Ensuring International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance across the Finance function and review of the Financial Policies to ensure compliance with the same.Achievements: I liaised with the Director in the review and revision of the Finance policies to ensure compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and in improving operational efficiency. Key amongst these was the revision of the Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management, Revenue Recognition and Inventory Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities:● Assisted in the reviews and completion of the allocated audit engagement areas under the supervision of the Audit In-Charge. ● Assisted with audit planning procedures including audit tests using the firm’s audit methodology ensuring that key matters not identified at the planning stage were brought to the attention of the Audit In-Charge. ● Completed allocated tasks to a high standard which meet set reporting and auditing standards. ● Monitored own WIP and ensured a positive contribution was made to departmental billing.

Key responsibilities included the utilization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); Accpac Accounting Software in the execution of the following tasks:i. Billing of receivables.ii. Processing petty cash reimbursement vouchers.iii. Preparation of bank reconciliation statements.iv. Preparation ofjournals.v. Filing of output Value Added Tax (V.A.T).vi. Processing credit notes.vii. Ensuring that revenue streams were checked for robustness and that they were verifiable.Achievements:I liaised with the Finance Department manager in streamlining the invoicing and receipting process. This was through the creation of templates that would be used as imports into the Accpac Enterprise Resource Planning System and hence greatly reducing the amount of time spent on the invoicing and receipting process. I also liaised with the IT department in the creation of an automated proforma invoicing system that would also disburse the invoices to the clients via email from the Accpac System.
