🖐 Hi, my name's Milly Formby and I'm the creator of Wing Threads - a creative flying quest that aims to foster stewardship of wetland ecosystems using STEM education, art and adventure.I'm a pilot, zoologist and illustrator of the children's book, A Shorebird Flying Adventure (CSIRO Publishing, June 2022) and am currently on a mission called Wing Threads: Flight Around Oz, flying my microlight around Australia. This endeavour is bringing free STEM incursions directly to Australian classrooms and connecting urban, regional and remote primary school kids with their local wetlands by sharing the awesome journeys of migratory shorebirds! 🐦🛩Wing Threads: Flight Around Oz is a not-for-profit, fully self-funded science communication initiative based on the Australian Curriculum.
