I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government at Newcastle University, expected to graduate in 2024. Before starting my studies, I worked as a Teaching and Administrative Assistant at Westcliff High School for Boys, a highly regarded UK grammar school, for 11 months. During this time, I developed core competencies in teaching, administration, system administration, and outreach services.As a Teaching and Administrative Assistant, I took and taught classes, took registers, handled day-to-day administration tasks, and worked with children in a pastoral sense. I also worked continuously during the pandemic and the lockdown as a key worker in the education sector. I contributed to the school's mission of providing a high-quality and inclusive education for all students, regardless of their background or ability. I also learned valuable skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability, which I believe are essential for any political science and government professional. I am motivated by a passion for learning, social justice, and civic engagement, and I aspire to apply my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the world.

Teaching And Administrative Assistant
I took a gap year before I began my studies at Newcastle University. In this year off, I served as a 'Teaching and Administrative Assistant' at a highly regarded UK grammar school. Here, my duties included: taking and teaching classes, taking registers, day to day administration (such as filing, manifesting fire rolls and working on the SIMS network by writing letters home to parents etc) and working with children in a pastoral sense too. I worked continuously during the pandemic and the lockdown commencing in the January of 2021 as a key worker, being in the education sector. Having been employed in this role, I have developed numerous skills. Some of these skills are: Problem Solving, Communication, Leadership, Factual Recall and Critical Thinking. My role here also means that I was fully DBS checked and I received basic training in safeguarding care towards children.
