Whilst working during my time at university to complete a Bachelor of Science in Computer forensics and having a keen interest in technology, I learned to use, fix, break and investigate different operating systems such as Linux, macOS, Windows, IOS, and Android as well as learning various forensic software packages including XRY, Cellebrite, AccessData, EnCae, Wireshark, and FTK forensic tool kit.The course included modules that covered topics including email, network, cloud, and mobile forensics. This was supplemented with modules on computer law and how to handle evidence including chain of custody and ACPO guidelines. While being a Digital forensics course there were also modules on OO, operating, database, and computer systems. My current role at HM Passport Office as a Passport Examiner has given me the opportunity to review the information and present evidence to identify potentially fraudulent applications in accordance with fraud awareness training, policies, regulations. As a Passport Examiner and often the first voice that a customer speaks to, it is my priority to ensure all HM Passport Office policies are adhered to and that the correct guidance is given, so the customer can provide the evidence they require to complete their application successfully. The more complex cases may require further information, and or evidence to be provided so it is essential I give them the correct information to do so. I have completed all the required training, learned several bespoke software packages, and have met all performance review goals during my time at HM Passport Office, and a UK resident. I am very familiar with the Microsoft suite of products, including Teams and Office365, and consider myself an expert-level computer user.
