Undergraduate Research Assistant
CurrentI assisted professors and graduate students in nuclear materials degradation research for breeder reactors. I created software for machines and systems still in use today. I CAD modeled, procured, and installed parts for various research facilities. I performed literature reviews to answer engineering challenges adequately and safely. I worked with people across many industries to generate practical engineering designs safely and efficiently. I worked with radioactive materials and other hazardous substances requiring great care and safety knowledge. I performed material analysis through X-ray diffraction, metallography, and electron microscopy.
