Since 2014 I have been honored to be the Vice President of Economic Development for the San Angelo, Texas Chamber of Commerce. I have the privilege of recruiting industrial companies to establish their presence in San Angelo to create careers and add to the economic strength of our home city. Vice President Of Economic DevelopmentSan Angelo Chamber Of Commerce Jun 2014 - PresentResponsible for marketing the industrial opportunities and lifestyle culture available in San Angelo to multiple industrial sectors. 2018-2019 successes:Directly assisted recruiting Dragon Products (Beaumont, Tx) to San Angelo. Dragon purchased the former National Oilwell Varco plant at 6738 Side View Road, a 117,000 sf fabrication facility situated on a 19 acre site. Creating 125 jobs at the plant ranging from managers to skilled steel fabricators. Recruited First Flight air ambulance service from McKinney, Texas. Creating 8 high-paying aircrew jobs, leasing of a hangar at San Angelo Regional Airport, and the stationing of two million dollar KingAir C-90 aircraft.Recruited RW Senior Housing to commit to building a 90 room skilled nursing facility in San Angelo. Successfully lobbied for County and City resolutions of support. This will be a $10 million facility and will create 90 healthcare jobs when operational.Assisted in the recruitment of US Well Services, a hydraulic fracturing well service company based out of Houston, Tx. This resulted in the leasing of the former Select Energy Services facility at 6720 RM 853. The company is transferring 40 technicians from the Marcellus play in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. This also resulted in the creation of six new positions staffed by local new employees. Additional crews and multi-million dollar equipment will be transferred from the Marcellus in the 2018.Assisted Caron Transportation (Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada) in a significant operations expansion from a 2.5 acre site to a 10 acre site with full trucking facilities (the former Globe Energy facility at 6641 RM 853. Created the SARMA - the San Angelo Regional Manufacturers Alliance, a program of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce. The SARMA is an 82 member alliance of regional fabrication, manufacturing and energy services companies.
