SECO Entrepreneurship Program addresses hindering factors for start-up creation, survival and growth in 6 selected countries (Peru, Vietnam, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina Macedonia and Serbia). Those hindering factors include a lack of entrepreneurial education, lack of supporting mechanisms for start-ups, lack of access to finance and a non-conductive entrepreneurial environment.The program intends to1. Support and enhance the readiness of individuals to start a business 2. Promote favourable conditions for start-ups and enhance entrepreneurial framework conditions.The program interventions include the following:- Provide market-oriented start-up and business administration training for entrepreneurs- Motivate and link mentors who can provide guidance, encouragement but also technical support in business administration to entrepreneurs- Link international and local investors to suitable start-ups and offer matching grants to minimise risks of early investments- Organise peer-to-peer learning exchanges and study-trips for all program countries for exchange and mutual learning- Promote women participation in entrepreneurial activities, enhance their networks and support system.

SPARK works closely with various governments in fragile states across Africa and Middle East to improve conditions for entrepreneurs and job creators.SPARK also enables access to higher education for the vulnerable youth in fragile states by providing scholarship packages, language & vocational training, and advocacy offering young people a chance to continue their education and become educated workforce As a part of Business Development Unit (BDU) conducted following tasks:• Supported the efforts of the BDU in Belgrade in acquisition of new projects; • Developed project proposals for multiple donor agencies; • Coordinated the application procedures with partners and helped with the administrative and technical angles;• Delivered BDU services to SPARK field offices (including research, proposal writing, implementation planning, budget development and technical support);• General assistance to project management.Projects:• Trade facilitation Project between Serbia and Kosovo (under the Dutch MFSII programme);• Diploma recognition project (Serbia, Kosovo) – European Commission;• International Business College Mitrovica – Research, promotion.
