Brendon is a freelance Managing Surveyor / Senior QS specialising in all facets of M&E quantity surveying. Much of his work has been working for M&E contractors, subcontractors and main contractors. He's worked in most sectors including nuclear, commercial, energy, custodial and healthcare.Currently he's working on the Battersea Power Station Development for the last 7 years, before he spent 5 years in the nuclear sector, responsible for the running of a project, reporting to a Commercial Director and managing 4 surveyors. Successes include the incorporating of a large amount of change, the management of risk and consequential delays, issuing accurate notices and successfully managing a contractual subcontractor. Brendon is experienced in both Pre and Post contract management and is familiar with the NEC3 Suite of Contracts. He's experienced in contract negotiation, risk identification, procurement, value engineering, preparation and management of cash flow forecasts and the preparation of quotations. He's also confident in preparing loss and expense claims. In addition, he's prepared cost plans at various stages of design and within his career he’s also worked for FM providers.He has a MSc in Construction Law and has assisted in the preparation of referrals to adjudications, this legal knowledge provides him with the edge to protect his clients' interests. He's also held a senior position as an Associate Director of MaitlandQS being responsible for the management and support to a team of 10 QSs, and the assistance with appraisals. He was also responsible for managing the Kier Construction account. Brendon is a team member with an enthusiastic desire to mentor, train and support team members.
