    I have been selected to be the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Atlanta Regional Office’s (ATRO) Economic Development Integrator (EDI). My new role became effective Monday, June 21, 2020 and I will report directly to the Regional Director as ATRO’s EDI.Economic Development Integration Mission: Support locally-identified priorities for regional economic diversification, growth and prosperity by increasing access to opportunity, facilitating enhanced collaboration, and reducing administrative burdens.EDA’s Economic Development Integration (EDI) team works with federal peers to identify opportunities for greater interagency collaboration, and to facilitate the coordinated and effective investment of federal economic development resources. In addition to three EDI staff at EDA HQ, Regional Integrators work in each of EDA’s 6 regional offices (Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Philadelphia, PA, and Seattle, WA) to further enhance EDA’s capacity to support local and regional economic development projects.     In my current position as Construction Project Manager on the Construction / Management Team at the Economic Development Administration (EDA), Atlanta Regional Office, I have managed over the past sixteen years more than 575 approved EDA funded construction projects and currently manage some 36 EDA funded construction projects (amounting to more than $264 million dollars) in public and private investments in the states of Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. I direct all activities of approved public works construction projects from Financial Assistance Award approval through project closeout. This includes insuring that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with original EDA approved scope of work, completed in accordance with appropriate Federal requirements and procedures, and that any OIG audit findings are promptly addressed and resolvedI have completed comprehensive Project Management Courses over the years presented by USDA Graduate School, the University Of Georgia Center Of Continuing Education, and I am currently enrolled in Management Concepts’ Federal Project & Program Management seeking PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. The course provides Project Managers with an understanding of the full project-management cycle; aid managers with developing and implementing effective project plans, equipping managers with tools for controlling project schedules and costs; and communicating timely reporting on project status.
