During the last 20+ years, I have held multiple positions within the manufacturing sector in the public safety industry. I started my career working as a technician for one of the largest upfitters in the country of emergency vehicles in Jacksonville, FL. In this position, I learned the value of teamwork and honed my knowledge of 12V systems. I also obtained my EVT L1 certification during this time. After relocating to NJ, I spent time working for two of the largest upfitters in the state as an installation technician. In these positions, I became the go-to resource for technical issues and troubleshooting. For the past 13 years, I have held multiple positions at VCI Emergency Vehicle Specialists. From 2010 to 2017, I was an installation technician in the setup shop working on ambulances. VCI is the premier ambulance dealership in the Greater Philadelphia region. From 2017 to 2020, my expertise and knowledge were recognized as I was promoted to a sales support rep position. In this position, I was routinely involved in the sales process dealing with small EMS agencies to large city departments. I assisted in the setup and launch of the CMR system used by our sales team as well as developed the remount master specification that is used today. I was also responsible for the development and launch of our redesigned website in addition to our social media feeds. With my background as a technician, I quickly became to technical resource for our sales team. This responsibility also led me to become the SME for the specification writing program used by Horton Emergency Vehicles. Since 2020, I have been the Market Segment Manager for Conversions and Stock Remounts. With my experience working on law enforcement vehicles, I was given the responsibility of launching the new conversion division at VCI. This position allowed me to work the entire process of the sales cycle. I was tasked with marketing and selling the product as well as overseeing, and in some cases, installing the product. During this time, I was also tasked with growing our existing stock remount program outside of our existing new vehicle territory. This program has grown to be a major source of revenue for VCI and continues to grow as we gain market share outside of our existing territory.
