Responsible for providing strategic and analytical direction and support for the IESO's participation in regulatory processes as required by Ontario legislation.Coordinated with various business units to assemble exhibits required as part of the IESO Revenue Requirements Submission to the OEBDeveloped the Regulatory Roadmap after identifying various IESO + OEB collaboration and coordination opportunities to produce more efficient interactions between the two organizations.Composed and presented executive materials pertaining to electricity sector evolution from the perspective of Canada Energy Regulator, ISOs across North America and others to be used to inform IESO strategy on sector evolution.

Managed an active investment portfolio of $45M from the Grid Innovation Fund (GIF), a yearly $9.5M funding vehicle to enable innovation projects that show potential to address and improve electricity affordability and reliability for Ontario ratepayers.Initiated and supported the first of its kind partnership and collaboration with the Ontario Energy Board in the development of the Fund’s targeted call for funding proposals related to the integration of Distributed Energy Resources at both the wholesale and distribution levels. Ensured thatboth the IESO and OEB strategic objectives were met.Led the execution of IESO’s targeted call for innovative projects to address electricity needs of indoor agriculture facilities , specifically in targeted regions where system demand is expected tosignificantly exceed supply by 2025.Developed and implemented new processes being used by the GIF team to identify and manage project risks, escalations, and process flows to ensure projects remain within scope, timeline and budget.Executed on Energy Transformation Network of Ontario’s (ETNO) final report on Principles Guiding the Transformation of the Energy System of Ontario that was presented to the CEO of the IESO, CEO of the OEB and the Ministry of Energy’s Deputy Minister by liaising with MaRS, the IESO, ETNO members and ETNO’s Working Group

Provided support to proponents to guide them in the development of proposals as well as the review of projects resulting in recommendations to management on the investment of the Fund’s annual budget.Executed on the 2019/2020 open intake for proposals where the Fund received an unprecedented 92 submissions. Received buy-in from 20+ IESO subject matter experts as members of the review committee where they provided scoring and input on submission to ensure that proposals that demonstrated the most value for the IESO and Ontario ratepayers were recommended for executive approval.Significantly improved the proposal review process to streamline the way submissions are received and how metrics are captured, reducing the amount of time required to perform a thorough review of submissions; updated all templates to ensure quantifiable outcomes were clearly identified and communicated to relevant business units.
