Connecting grassroots ideas. Located at the crossroads of major cities (Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati). Serves to build and connect communities through the creation and/or support of events that showcase the sports, film, art, music, language, literature, and history of the Island of Ireland (TISNWO). Supports local and travelling artists, film makers, musicians, writers and other creatives through use of space, hosting workshops (in- person and virtual), mentorship and networking (FMA).

The GLI acts in many different ways and in many different parts of the world to help Boston College increase its presence and impact on the world. Programing and projects connect people and institutions across Boston College to people and institutions around the world. By focusing on trust, community, and dialogue, meaningful and sustainable engagements have been and will continue to be created. Highlights as the Assistant Director of the GLI include the Strengthening Cyber Security Europe 2019 grant in Brussels, Belgium and Tallinn, Estonia supporting cyber professionals from Ireland and Northern Ireland; and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement – Mexico Police Professionalization grant supporting Internal Affairs officers for each of Mexico’s 26 state police authorities working to understand civilian oversight and police-community relations in Boston.
