Hello! My name is Punjasiree Sripongngarm. I prefer to go by Mimi. I studied graphic design at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I recently graduated this Fall of 2016. Visual communication helps guide for improved understanding and universal communication. I am passionate about layout design, specifically illustrating patterns and characters. Work abilities are developing and experimenting with different types of elements using Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.Manga and Web toon pulls my interest because it’s not only imagery, but the ability to communicate with the readers through dialogues and a variety of layouts. Some of the process is researching through books or online, brainstorming ideas, then sketching out the panels and characters. Followed by scanning to the computer for a fix and clean line art. Last step, coloring in the characters and shadowing.Short-term goals are to gain as many experience as possible by trying out different jobs that deal with printing, gaming illustration, and corporate layouts. Long-term goals are gaining experience and knowledge in the line of work that deals with graphic design and traditional arts. Communication with peers and co-workers about latest design trends and design works.Things that I want to learn more about graphic design is the interaction between typography and elemental shapes, how design can connect to people universally through symbols and colors, and what makes a good design through different fields of jobs. Traditional arts are exploring different creativity, finding meaning in the subject, materials that can be used through colors or lines on canvas, and human anatomy with their movement.
