Spearheaded the Community Development Block Grant/Louisiana Recovery Workforce Training Program by developing and implementing strategies and activities directed at the identification of and solutions to critical allied healthcare workforce needs for major employers, sector industry organizations, and regional area initiatives spanning twenty parishes. Served as liaison between academic institutions, employers, and sector industry organizations by researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to meet healthcare employment needs. Prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual reports ensuring compliance of federal and state policies and laws. • Provided direct recruitment and leadership to a team that received national recognition as one of seven case studies in the United States Department of Labor’s manual “How to Develop Programs for Youth in Allied Health Careers” for the summer youth program, Exploring Careers in Health Occupations (ECHO).• Assisted in securing approximately $7 million federal grant dollars to increase south Louisiana’s healthcare workforce for the Healthcare Recovery Training System (HeaRTS) program. • Successfully established partnerships and collaborations with industry leaders of public and private sector organizations, state, regional, and local workforce agencies to coordinate the recruitment, training, and employment of over 1,750 healthcare professionals into the workforce across 20 parishes.• Drafted and finalized contracts and Memorandums of Understanding, monitored/managed budgetary and programmatic aspects of those agreements assuring compliance with requirements/deliverables for over 40 sub-grantees.• Provided leadership experience in the development, oversight, and coordination for the summer youth program, Exploring Careers in Health Occupations (ECHO), training over 100 at-risk, in-school and out of school students.
