As an Instructor for the Prince George's County Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP) participants hired by the county for their Summer Youth@Work Program. I taught the following courses; Internet for Business, Employment Policies and Personal Accountability. I am scheduled to return for this Summer program instructor work as well again this year. As an Instructor for the Prince George's County Community College Owl Scholars camp I taught 4th to 7th grade campers how to produce their own Digital Story about what they wanted to become in the future. I led the course in scriptwriting, brainstorming and researching their topics, internet photo and content acquisition as well as editing in IMovie in the classroom.

Debbie Machado-Santos, is a Venezuelan chef whose kitchen artistry reflects the African influences in her cultural approach to cooking. Puerto Rican Dancer Pedro "Cuban Pete" Aguilar set American dance floors on fire in the 1950's with his signature in Clave timing and African moves. A Cuban Canadian composer, songwriter, and Latin Grammy Award winner Alex Cuba’s signature sound is as distinct as the four-inch “fro” & the cheeky sideburns he sports. Each of these characters and others reveal their own stories, living La Vida In Black on camera. Teach students at the District of Columbia Public Schools

As a Filmmaker Artist-in-Residence (FAIR), Miriam Machado-Luces instructs alongside the classroom teacher and guides the students through the process of creating a short film project to deepen the learning of curriculum expressed through the voices of our creative students in Prince George’s County public schools. Mimi Machado-Luces plans directly with the Arts integration specialist and the classroom teacher in the School to determine subject matter to fulfill instructional requirements. In the past 18 months the FAIR program has created over 30 films with 10 different classes, in 2 languages, and over 200 students.

Wrote the script for the 2012 Chapter Emmy Awards. Booked two of the presenters/hosts.

2013 - As WIFTI Liason and WIFV Board Member, co-produced the 2013 WIFTI Short Film Showcase Served up Mojito Madness at the Tropical Winter Alt Holiday Jam in January. 2012 - As WIFV Board Member Created the WIFV Sizzle Reel that introduces and defines the Men and Women of WIFV. Producer / Writer Director on the Documentary Film, Caribbean Visionary, A.R.F. Webber A Man & His Work, the companion doc to author Dr. Selwyn Cudjoe's latest work entitled Caribbean Visionary, A.R.F. Webber and the Making of the Guyanese Nation. Webber was a Novelist, Journalist, Activist & Politician who fought for the rights of the people of color in the British Crown Colony of Guyana in the 1920's. Webber was all but forgotten until cultural archeologist; Selwyn Cudjoe unearthed this Caribbean Visionary and noted Webber's accomplishments in his latest book.

This 28 minute show aired on Maryland television stations and was produced for the Health Departments of St. Mary's, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties of Maryland. In August of 2001 Produced 2 PSA's with EP Angela Mathis for Colon Cancer Awareness.In July of 2003, - Wrote and Directed Enfrenta Cancér del Colon developed by TVA Productions, Ltd. and Embryo Media to target the Latino community of Maryland with the same format as Confront Colon Cancer, in Spanish, 28 minutes in length, Silver Telly Award winning program.
