In my new role as Programme Officer in Save the Children Finland's International Programme Unit, I support the planning, securing, and managing of ECHO-funded projects in Sudan and the development of other donor portfolios. Additionally, I manage a Minitry of Foreign Affairs-funded Child Protection project in Burkina Faso and support the Burkina Faso Country Office in proposal development. My tasks include financial and narrative donor reporting, monitoring, analysis and compliance processes, working closely with the Save the Children Sudan Country Office and the Burkina Faso Country Office.

As the HUMLOG Institute grew both in terms of team members and research projects, it was my fun and challenging task to manage the project portfolio, coordinate the project teams and make sure we got everything done on time. HUMLOG's projects range from tenders for UN agencies to Horizon Europe -funded interdisciplinary projects.I also supported and coordinated new funding applications, as we wrote proposals together with international consortiums to tackle challenges within the fields of humanitarian aid, circular economy, supply chain greening and crisis management.

Lesvos, Greece

Lighthouse Relief is an NGO that provides emergency relief to refugees arriving on the northern shore of Lesvos and psychosocial support to young refugees in Ritsona camp in Greece. As a volunteer in the Emergency Response Team on Lesvos, I participated in around the clock spotting, landing and UNHCR camp shifts.In spotting shifts, my team and I scanned the sea for approaching refugee boats and alert the rescue boat and landing team when we spotted a boat. Landing shifts meant being on-call for 12 hours and ready to respond within five minutes of a landing call. Once the location of the boat was confirmed, we responded with basic nutrition, water and blankets for the new arrivals. At the UNHCR transit camp, we prepared beds and distributed warm clothes, food, drinks and other non-food items the refugees may need before they continue their journey to a larger refugee camp. In-between arrivals, I participated in sorting and restocking donations in the camp and our warehouses, beach-cleaning operations and various emergency response exercises.

The Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute (HUMLOG Institute) is a focal point for researchers in humanitarian logistics and a joint research institute between Hanken School of Economics and National Defence University of Finland (NDU).My main duties were administrative support of the daily operations of the institute, includingmedia communication, webpage planning and social media updates, as well as eventmanagement, travel arrangements and various stakeholders communication in severallanguages.

As an intern at UNFPA Yaoundé Country Office, I worked with the Senior Management Team to support the development, implementation and monitoring of family planning and supply chain management activities. This consisted of collection and production of reports and documents from a country-wide logistics system assessment, supporting the preparation and execution of supply chain and family planning missions and activities and assisting in warehouse and storage assessments.

As an intern at the Finnish Embassy in Teheran, I wrote reports, background materials and daily media reviews for the Embassy. I also followed and analyzed Iran's political system and its foreign, economic and domestic policies and human rights situation. Furthermore, I represented the Embassy in various EU coordination meetings. My tasks further included updating the Embassy's website and social media channels as well as organizing and coordinating the Embassy's participation at the 31st Tehran International Book Fair and UNESCO World Day for Cultural Diversity.
