Grandmother's Buttons combined the graphic designer, retail visual manager and product buyer positions into an overarching Art Director Position. The Art Director has specific graphic design, display, and buying duties that maker her responsible for the aesthetic statement that defines Grandmother's Buttons' brand. Her job is to work collaboratively with the marketing and sales team (the owner's, sales/customer service director, photographer/web master, and the store managers) to produce all materials & communications that create the brand. Furthermore, the Art Director of Grandmother’s Buttons is responsible for creating eye-catching and informative seasonal wholesale catalogs and supplements. She conceptualizes the overall vision of the company in a manner that complimented the jewelry and represented the brand. She hand-picked and assembled the creative team, including the model(s), hair and make-up stylists, as well as gathered all props and clothing necessary for the photo sessions. She is both the fashion and product stylist.GRAPHIC DESIGNER: -Monthly newspaper/magazine ads for retail stores & wholesale division - Annual jewelry catalog and supplement - Holiday retail catalog - format promotional emails and newsletters - brainstorming & help in producing social media posts and photographs- graphics for various sales, promotions that occur throughout the year. VISUAL MANAGER:The visual manager creates and with help and input of the other mangers and approval of the owner. executes the Grandmother's Buttons retail store and wholesale/retail booths environments. using a deep knowledge of the brand to develop displays that are both visually arresting and that communicate the vintage and one-of-a-kind nature of the brandBUYERThe store buyer works with the owner and store managers to identify and buy the products that set our stores apart from the crowd.
