The leading trade association (a 501(c)6) in the US representing the interest of electro industry manufacturers of products used in the generation, transmission and distribution, control and end-use of electricity.• Maintain monthly and year-end supporting schedules and account reconciliations• Prepare and/or approve journal entries for National Electrical Manufacturers Association(a 501(c) 6) and Electric Safety Foundation International(a 501(c)3)• Prepare financial statements(Balance Sheet, Income statement, Statement of cash flows) and supporting analysis narrative for NEMA • Provide technical support for Great Plains(Dynamics) accounting software and FRx financial reporting software• Develop financial reporting templates from FRx • Implement new or revised accounting in accounting systems and reporting system• Assist in the preparation annual financial statement audit• Review expenditures and billings, monitor dues receivable• Prepare several grants invoices and submit them through government grant system• Process payroll through ADP’s Workforce• Process 401K and 457B define contribution through Principal• Calculate invoice amounts based on sales for new members, at the request of the accounts receivable specialist• Accept account transfer requests from staffs and post to general ledger in the month end closing • Record capital acquisitions in the Fixed Assets System(FAS) as disposal/sale of any current asset• Oversee monitoring revenues and expenses for financial statements • Maintain the budget in accounting system• Provide ESFI depreciation report

• Perform professional accounting pertaining to all government grants and contracts• Preform monthly closing and identify unusual trends of discrepancies• Prepare monthly journal entries for various accounts such as prepaid expense and depreciation • Provide and analyze monthly financial reports (monthly comparison report, balance sheet, income statement)• Prepare yearly indirect cost report• Collect monthly bank statements and perform monthly bank reconciliations, monthly subsidiary operations, GL account reconciliation and accounting functions for ESFI(501c(3), NEMA sister organization• Provide report and perform research as needed per request• Review contract/grant proposal• Review and analyze contract/grant expenses• Review, post and close ESFI & NEMA account receivables• Prepare and record depreciation to general ledger• Apply checks, ACH, and credit card payments daily• Understand and analyze membership data (including general ledger activity)• Oversee monitoring of grant revenues and expenses for the record• Assist with review of Supplemental Activity Report and Budget• Prepare monthly prepaid schedule• Create new annual income statement, balance sheet and monthly comparison report in report designer system
