Dr. Mina Chung is a pediatric dentist and partner of North American Dental Group. Prior to joining North American Dental Group, she was an owner of Grove Dental Associates, a multi specialty group practice, which includes General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics and Periodontics. Grove Dental Associates has prided itself on providing the highest standards and excellence in patient dental care for the whole family and has a history of over fifty years in the dental industry, serving the Chicagoland area. Dr. Chung earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Upon graduation from dental school at University of Illinois at Chicago, she pursued a hospital dentistry/general practice residency in a combined program at the University of Chicago Hospital and University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by pediatric dental residency, while earning a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. She has held research associate positions at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) in the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Argonne National Laboratory and Northwestern University School of Medicine. Involvement in education has been another one of her passions, having taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry for over ten years. Recognizing the importance of keeping up with the latest advancements, research and evidence-based dentistry, she has partnered with the American Dental Association, Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry as an evidence reviewer, as well as serving on the Dental Advisory Board for North American Dental Group. In addition, her interests in international affairs and diplomacy has extended to training at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. Her community service efforts have included dental mission trips to Nicaragua and Mexico, volunteering at multiple community events, including spearheading the Veteran’s Day Free Dental Clinic events, in partnership with Lions Club International. Dr. Chung is a board certified Diplomate and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
