Hi, I'm Mina Lu! A passionate University of Rochester student majoring in Psychology and Business, with a commitment to making a positive impact on communities. Many of my experiences are related to the field of psychology and education. In my role as the communication ambassador for the Blue Envelop Program, I have been dedicated to overseeing communication with left-behind children in low-income and low-education areas. By corresponding with a designated child on a weekly basis, I aim to establish meaningful connections, dedicating 2 hours to exchange letters. By volunteering in this program, I've developed and applied skills in offering emotional support and comfort to these children in need. On campus, I contributed as a dance teacher for Rice Crew, instructing dance choreograph in workshops and showcasing leadership and teaching abilities. Additionally, as a member of the Mood Psychology, I coordinate and support mental health-related activities, demonstrating organizational and leadership skills. Spearheading events that promote mental health knowledge and actively contribute to networking initiatives within the club have been particularly fulfilling aspects of my involvement.My diverse experiences have not only enhanced my skills but also fueled my passion for the intersection of psychology and education. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, my strong communication skills, coupled with a strong empathy cultivated through my volunteer and various experiences, make me eager to connect with professionals and individuals who share similar interests and passions.Let's connect and inspire each other!
