Mina Yaney is an Austrian architect and principal of P.a.int, with research interests in multimodal design theory, new building technologies and typologies. He has been teaching at Graz University of Technology at the department of "Buildings & Energy" and worked as a teaching and research fellow, in the field of "Architectural Robotics", in the US at the College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities in SC. He collaborated, as a design architect, with different architecture offices on 1st prize winning projects (eg. Design of European Culture Centre in Aachen, Germany // Design & proposal for urban development of "Zwischenwasser" in Vorarlberg, Austria). His work has been published and exhibited in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Australia & the US. 2020 he launched the Practice for Architectural Interfaces (P.a.int.) which operates within the fields of architecture, interior design, branding, urban design, research and development. Recently he redesigned and relaunched the iconic Café NIL in Vienna into an intercultural Café-Restaurant blending old and new elements into a contemporary brand identity.2012 he published “Biochemical Injections: Architecture as a Biotechnical Interface in a Post-Parametric Environment” with ACSA at the 100th annual meeting, in Boston, and with Interstices - Journal of Architecture and Related Arts, in Sydney, proposing a combination of architectural design with recent developments in biomedical engineering as a potential source of a bio-based technology and methodology transfer for the production of future versatile buildings connected to the environment and to the human body. 2020, he received an honorable mention award at the European competition “Campus of Religions” for the design of a novel interreligious Campus building in Vienna, Seestadt.
