My research focuses on the long-term impacts of agricultural management on soil health and the provision of ecosystem services (agronomic, environmental, and economic); with a unique focus on soil heterogeneity, deep soil carbon, and the development of regional, cropping system specific soil health indicators/assessments to inform both adaptive management (diagnostic) and monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV). I have a strong passion and proclivity for outreach and education, translating research to a diversity of stakeholders, and building bridges between science and industry, policy, and the populace.
