I assist people with disabilities to access the community and to achieve their goals and live the life they want. I always knew that I would eventually want to go back to my original field of study and work one day and at last, I finally have. There's no greater joy that helping others with disabilities achieve their goals and dreams and using my own strengths and personal experiences to help empower others.

Am currently doing Freelance work for Crafty Creatures as I did nearly ten years ago. I do most any web or graphic design projects my client requests, manage and update her website, design brochures, newsletter, business cards, flyers, etc.

Every year, I am tasked with designing and editing flyers, street signs, t-shirt designs, event maps and now a voucher book that contains deals for local businesses to promote their businesses. I very much enjoy being involved with the community and also volunteer to help on the days of the event as I'm able to.

My jobs vary from web development to SEO, copy-writing, graphic design projects and other web-related tasks as required. I was thrown into the deep end and pretty much left to sink or swim. I swam for many years but eventually decided it was time for a change. Training one's self on a regular basis in such an ever-changing industry was both challenging and rewarding.

Designed and edited commercial online and print ads for several publications ranging from high end glossy print magazines to newsprint publications. Job functions included designing new ads from the ground up, editing previously run ads, handling email ads, manipulating disc ads from our customers so they would run on our presses, editing and toning graphics, communicating with sales representatives to achieve the best quality work for our customers using a wide range of programs and skills to successfully complete each ad. Having won numerous awards for my design work, I was considered one of the top artists in our department. Often looked to as the go-to person for training new employees. Because of my speed in learning new software, I was also involved in training current co-workers. I have received much recognition for my efforts to create new revenue and implement ideas that will better help our company succeed in its goals. I have also acted as backup photographer for Human Resources. I worked diligently to aid our company in moving toward outsourcing ads to India and took the lead when we began working with online ads and creating animated gifs.

Designed and maintained business website for out-of-state customer utilizing shopping cart features for online sales. Planned and implemented designs for professional magazine ads and graphical layouts to promote, advertise and gain exposure for the company. Created logos and images for web and print use. Photographed products and live animal subjects demonstrating use of merchandise for web and print.

Professional Web Design utilizing PC platforms working computer, printer, scanner and design hardware and software applications. Duties included supervising and training new designers, planning, organizing and assisting customers with sales.

Graphically manipulated images and designs on Macintosh computers to be woven onto tapestries and towels. All work was done using a wacom tablet and pen for precise accuracy.
