I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a bit about the gaps in my employment history. My name is Mindi Larkin and recently I have been on a quest to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in Communication Design. From 2018 until March of 2020 I was a thriving student at Metropolitan State University Denver. But when Covid hit and shut school down, the stresses of covid, not being in the classroom, my son (a high school senior), my 20 year old daughter across the country in Maine and the passing of my father proved too much all at once. I put a pause on school and handled the rest of what was on my plate with the desire to finish my degree and further my education once this all passed. I excel at learning. I have recently relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana and am filled with the belief that the world is my oyster. I am ready to put my prior experiences and skillset to work. I do have prior experience as a Marketing Coordinator for Colorado Financial Partners. I worked in the communications department of RE/MAX International as a project coordinator, and was the office coordinator for Calcon Constructors, a general contractor in Colorado. The gaps between were spent having children, raising them, recovering from a brain aneurysm and going back to school to get my Associates of Applied Science in Multi-Media, Graphic Design & Illustration. I have a deep desire to work, to learn and to contribute to something great. I felt it necessary to explain the gaps and give you a better understanding of who I am. I am deadline driven, an enthusiastic worker, a quick learner, and have exceptional organizational skills. I am a dedicated and responsible individual who is detail oriented, thorough and committed to success in a business environment. My ability to motivate others, prioritize and manage time well, multi-task and be a team player makes me your ideal candidate.
