Responsible for fulfilling the duties at the rank of NCO/Staff Sergeant as a Military Police officer with 644th ISAF Military Police unit while on active duty in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Our mission was to perform law enforcement duties, be part of a security reaction force team, including force protection ensuring security on base, assist and respond to explosive detection dog alerts, provide personal/protective security for VIP and all NATO forces and civilian personnel, and physical security of the base. Worked with Afghan National Police, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy MP’s, and NATO forces.

Instructed 140 students per class on pre-deployment and sustainment training. Classes included: convoy operations, IED identification, individual movement techniques/small unit tactics, proper patrol procedures, tactical operations, close quarters battle, self-aid and buddy care, anti-terrorism, land navigation, and basic marksmanship. Evaluated students on all portions of training. Training was 10 days, 80-100 hours per class. Built mock village to increase realism in training. Coordinated lessons with other instructors to provide best practices in instruction of students and classroom management.
