A professional young woman who is dedicated to bettering the lives of animals and their people by educating our society about various animal issues. I founded Bailing Out Benji when I was just 21 years old in Iowa and it is now a national nonprofit organization with teams of volunteers in 22 states. Bailing Out Benji has educated millions of people about puppy mills and we have helped countless dogs escape the breeding life. I am often asked to come and speak to groups, businesses and advocates about the puppy mill industry and what the public can do to help. I have given presentations across the country regarding this issue. Lifetime Achievements (So far) Include: -Being filmed for the world-wide documentary, Dog by Dog in 2014- with a release date of January 2017. The film has had successful screenings all over the world and was also on Netflix- In 2016, I was awarded the "2016 Advocates We Love" award from the Humane Society of the United States - Bailing Out Benji was listed as one of the top 5 organizations working to end the puppy mill industry in the nation. - In 2016, we have expanded to having volunteer groups in Texas and that led to having teams in 22 states across the country - Named one of Iowa's "Citizens of Character" in 2018 - Named the "Outstanding Young Iowan" in 2018 - Recognized as the Des Moines Register's "Person to Watch" in 2019
