• Manage the implementation of the proven Connections Education curriculum and school operation protocols; • Ensure that teachers exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, instructional support and customer service;• Ensure the academic success of individual students by utilizing all levels of academic support available and by maintaining a high level of communication with parents to deliver program information and address individual student needs;• Assist teaching staff with implementing any program changes and/or new software application introductions;• Exhibit high quality communication with all Connections Education school staff, students and families;• Oversee newsletter production, phone calls, and surveys;• Handle any student problems escalated by parents and teachers;• Provide assistance to families in need of additional support and encourage a high level of participation;• Devise and implement virtual methods of creating and maintaining a “school community”;• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all school staff.

• Engages staff in the ongoing review of promising practices for improving student learning. • Holds teachers and staff accountable for completing required tasks. • Provides constructive performance feedback on a regular basis and communicates this performance-based culture to staff.• When applicable, manages the performance review process and if needed and applicable, takes appropriate disciplinary action.• Promotes a school culture of collaboration, trust, high expectations and continuous improvement. • Motivates others by providing affirmations and celebrations of staff effort and achievement. • Analyzes class and grade level data in mathematics at Florida Virtual School Full Time elementary school for the purpose of sharing information with teachers and making informed decisions relative to instructional practices.• Assesses skills and needs (both initially and ongoing) of teachers and students within an elementary school setting for the purpose of determining the kinds of professional development and strategies needed to bring about student achievement and gains in value added scores in mathematics.• Instructs individual and small groups of students for the purpose of improving mathematics achievement levels.• Leads and participates in on-going and job-embedded professional development (e.g. meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information related to math content knowledge, pedagogy, and coaching.
