Currento Responsible for overall strategic direction, oversight, guidance and implementation of a mission and values driven, state-of-the-art compliance program across a four state, growing, complex integrated health care delivery system. Demonstrated program maturity advancement year after year. o Led a team of thirty compliance professionals through a program consolidation and created a roadmap for success. Developed a strategic vision, resulting in overall program maturity advancement and improved collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, as well as other assurance functions including Internal Audit, Risk Services, and Legal Affairs. o Transitioned the compliance program into a proactive and risk-based program, aligned with organizational objectives and strategic priorities, resulting in improved identification and mitigation of risks with optimal support for operational success. o Executive point of contact for the enterprise risk assessment process used to inform annual audit and compliance work plans. Developed a trusted advisor relationship with key leaders across the system while focusing on collaborative risk identification and reduction management strategies. o Present quarterly compliance program updates to the Audit and Compliance Committee and facilitate timely and professional follow-ups at the Committee Chair’s request. o Responsible for leading the system Risk Management Department which consists of a team of close to 30 professionals, including risk finance / insurance programs and operations, clinical risk management and organizational risk governance.o Oversee management and operations for the Liability Trusts and Captive Insurance company. o Develop and implement strategies to identify, communicate and/or respond to organization and industry changes posing new or emerging threats.o Develop and promote the personal and professional growth of staff, resulting in engaged leaders and teams along with higher quality programs and outputs.
