More than fifty books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction (scholarly and trade) edited. I also evaluate unsolicited fiction manuscripts for the literary quarterly The Gettysburg Review.

Oversaw editing, design, and production of twenty-four issues of the award-winning, nationally respected literary quarterly; contributed to editorial planning and decision-making; planned, coordinated, and publicized events; and wrote and administered grants.

As editor (1995–96), produced four issues of the graduate student–run semiannual literary journal: solicited and directed selection of manuscripts, directed design and production, edited text, recruited and managed staff, developed annual budgets, acquired grant for bookstore promotion, and built electronic database for tracking manuscript review.
