Here's what my resume says about me: Results-driven entrepreneur with exceptional people skills and leadership qualities. Over 30 years of experience managing and building teams in large corporate environments, small & start-up businesses, and on non-profit boards. Subject matter expert and speaker/trainer in business skills for women entrepreneurs, team-building and culture, EOS implementation, organization, senior downsizing, and hoarding disorders, with proven ability to mentor others and train groups, both large and small. Here's the real story: After a many years in department store retail (R.I.P.) that took me to both U.S. coasts, I was looking for a career that would leverage my training and experience in communication, customer service, space planning, and merchandising. This was 2003, during the height of the "HGTV Revolution." Since it's always a good idea to make major life decisions based on popular television (!!!), I decided to leave the comforts of my established profession and take a risk on a job in organizing and productivity. I've never looked back. As a founding partner of Abundance Organizing, I've found a platform that combines all the ways I can use my skills to serve. As an entrepreneur and organizing expert, I've had the opportunity to design and deliver training presentations to groups across the country. I love to share my knowledge and lessons-learned with fledgling or prospective women entrepreneurs in order to boost their confidence and career traction. Whether it is audience members, clients, or employees in my company, I love meeting new people, maximizing their strengths, and helping them have life experiences that are robust and fulfilling. When I am not working, I can be found prepping to entertain friends for a dinner party or reading the latest contemporary fiction for my book club. My spouse and I are serial renovators; we always have at least one project in the works and another that we're brainstorming. We share our life and home with our two rescue dogs: Obie, a frisbee-loving Australian cattle dog, and Belle, a 90-lb. deaf Great Pyrenees. (She's a handful!) I believe that our four-legged companions can make any space feel like home. If I’m on a phone call or giving a virtual presentation, you can bet a dog is probably on the floor of my office, sleeping in the best patch of sunshine.I would love to hear from you. Email me any time at mindy@abundanceorganizing.com and mention anything you found interesting.
