Educate clients or community members about mental or physical illness, abuse, medication, or available community resources. Counsel clients in individual or group sessions to assist them in dealing with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse. Increase social work knowledge by reviewing current literature, conducting social research, or attending seminars, training workshops, or classes. Collaborate with counselors, physicians, or nurses to plan or coordinate treatment, drawing on social work experience and patient needs. Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals. Assist clients in adhering to treatment plans, such as setting up appointments, arranging for transportation to appointments, or providing support. Counsel or aid family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, or supporting the client or patient. Interview clients, review records, conduct assessments, or confer with other professionals to evaluate the mental or physical condition of clients or patients. Refer patient, client, or family to community resources for housing or treatment to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness, following through to ensure service efficacy. Modify treatment plans according to changes in client status. Plan or conduct programs to prevent substance abuse, combat social problems, or improve health or counseling services in community.

- Responsible to supervise, motivate and plan activities for kids age 4-12 during an 8-week Health and Fitness promotion program.- Be a friend and leader to each individual in group to promote improved self-image and good group relationship.- Assist with the planning and coordination of each weekly schedule at day camp, including planning and leading activities for each age group. - Interpret and enforce health and safety regulations to the group.- Help the campers with daily self-maintenance tasks: i.e., collecting and refrigerating lunches upon arrival at camp and eating lunch together; helping your campers prepare for activities; and being sure all personal belongings get home each night.- Offer guidance in-group and camp-wide activities.- Keep camp supplies and equipment in good shape, including putting them away when finished with a project.- Set a positive example in exercise, food selection,personal habits, and attitude.
